Poor Mint is too small to fit into BABY's clothes. I'm not too sure if Japanese lolitas are getting larger, or if it's mainly to cater to the Western market, but sizes have gone up across a few major lolita brands across the years.

Brand-consciousness is an on-and-off thing in the community: some girls wear exclusively "branded" clothes, others not at all, and the majority of lolis seem to fall somewhere in between. Lolita brands are in a completely different price range from the bedazzling boutiques of big, badass mainstream brands; and you can buy a dress from the Japanese stores for between ~$200-$400 (USD).

It's possible to put together a gorgeous coordinate consisting of non-brand clothes, or even a wardrobe that consists purely of such clothes! In loli-land, however, the girls know the name of the clothes and accessories a loli is wearing, where the loli bought it, and how much she bought it for. It's not the official name for our little comic's location, as loli-land could basically be anywhere where lolis flock together.

In other news, handy links to a FAQ page and RSS feed have been added to the top of the page!

Wonderful little comic, even if it's only two strips so far. Please keep it up, I'd love to see it continue as a former lolita and a webcomic lover.

I seriously wish i had that loli's problem. I rejoice when I'm not too large to fit into an item of brand clothing that I want to buy. Do love brand though, it feels special.
