Yay, first anniversary. And 28 comics, not including the dead days. I'm afraid there'll be another dead day next week while I catch up on work and sleep but bear with us -- the arc will be wrapping up soon, and then there'll be a next one...

Hello!

Apologies for the late message and upload, I was down with a fever and have been away from the computer for a few days.

HURRAH! It's been a year -- thank you for following us!

The promised goodies are semi-related to our first anniversary's theme as it fell on the same Saturday as the Natsu Matsuri, an event organised by the local Japanese Association. It was my second time attending and zen's first.

At least a thousand people were in attendance (they had 5000 tickets sold out in advance, so 1000 is a pretty safe bet) to attend the event. It was held at a school, and activities included yukata rental (and being dressed by professionals), shopping for Japanese cuisine, festival items, traditional clothes and accessories, bobbing for water yo-yos, a shooting game, fortune-telling and a cultural mass dance that began after sun-set, centred around the stage in the above photograph.

Zen and I had a shot at the bobbing game. The gimmick was that you were given a hook and string to fish with, but the string is made of paper and will break if it hits the water. The yo-yos have a small loop at the end, so you do your best to coax it into your hook... and hope the paper doesn't break from the yo-yo's weight after you snag it! We both managed to catch something :D

As the event came to a close, the hosts let the stage and grass surrounding it be used for the bon-odori. This video is one of the less shaky ones taken at the same stage, though it's from two years ago. It was lots of fun! :)

Hi i just caught up with the comic, its amazing !!!!!!!!!! The art work is so pretty and the story is funny as well !
